How much is a fair price for preparation of your tax return? For H&R Block it may be one price for a New York CPA it might be another. There is no guessing with us. We tell you up front.
INDIVIDUAL TAX PREPARATION
Individual income tax preparation is done using a formula approach. We are happy to take your return from the previous year and let you know what our fee would have been. We have set prices for specific forms.
All clients pay the same rates for each form. If your return is unusual in some way such as a few thousand stock transactions, then we can provide you with a modified quote or even determine the most efficient method of completing with work with you.
BUSINESS ENTITY TAX PREPARATION
Business entities are quoted based on activity level, or numbers of transactions. We use a table to calculate our fees. In some instances we have clients who utilize our organizer to provide their information to us, in other cases we receive the underlying banking and financial documents.
Finally many other clients employ one of our inexpensive bookkeepers or employ their own to provide us with a completed set of books. In any of these we refer to our billing table to quote you a price.
QUESTIONNAIRE
We can provide you with a questionnaire on your business entity to narrow down the parameters of your fee quote. We usually want to know if you do your own books, or do you have a bookkeeper? Do you do your work monthly, quarterly, or annually? Once we have gained some information on you we can usually quote you a fixed price.
